Celebrate spring as Janelle and her musical colleagues present an afternoon of diverse classical, Celtic, original and contemporary tunes. Be whisked away to misty hilltops and shadowy glens with beautiful aires played on this most ancient of instruments. You are promised a rich repertoire and magical musical experience.

Pender Harbour Music Society presents Morgan Toney, fusion of Mi’kmaq & Celtic

Mi’kmaltic Magic: Tradition Meets Innovation – 2024 Juno-nominated Celtic fiddler and singer, Morgan Toney, brings together the fiery fiddling of Cape Breton Island with the old songs of the Mi’kmaq. He calls this fusion Mi’lmaltic (Mi’kmaq + Celtic). It’s his way of celebrating his language and heritage. Morgan and his touring partner, and fellow Cape Bretoner, Keith Mullins have collaborated to blend two worlds and cultures to give the world something unique. Together they represent the best of art – a way of understanding and acceptance. We are delighted to have Morgan and Keith present their school program to our Pender Harbour Elementary School students as well as Shishal Youth on Monday, March 30.
