Kicking off the Saturday afternoon of Jazz Week to get us in the mood is this fun trio of Sunshine Coast musicians who love playing great ‘classic’ songs, from all eras. “From Frank to Hank” means you’ll hear everything from Bossa Nova to Blues, and Crooners to Country.
Kevin Crofton on guitar and vocals is a witty, entertaining guy with a big voice, developed from years as an actor and musician. Graham Walker, local children’s music recording artist, brings his songwriter’s sense to the drum kit, playing softer grooves that fill out the bands very tight rhythmic style. Andy Amanovich is a jazz guitarist switching to bass for this trio.
The Dr. Fun One Man Traveling Medicine Show brings old time music but always good time music with something for everyone! Acoustic blues, western swing, folk, gypsy jazz, bluegrass and more!

The Coast’s community orchestra – a membership including your family/friends/neighbors/colleagues – is presenting for your enjoyment the Dvorak 8th symphony in its entirety for the first time. They have also prepared some of the most iconic themes in movie history. Come to the Raven’s Cry Theatre on Sunday May 31st. Doors open at 2 pm for the 2:30 concert. Closing the night our much-loved “Definitely Diva,” featuring Lynn Dickson, Wendy Hibbert, and Patrice Pollack accompanied by Boyd Norman, bass, Reg Dickson, guitar/harmonica and Anneka Bonser. Performing together for over 20 years, the Divas continue to delight audiences with beautiful harmonies, great songs, and have way too much fun with their audiences.
