My work is inspired by the beauty in our natural world -the endless variety in shapes, colours and light, the emotions, nostalgia, longing as I feast my eyes on all that surrounds us. And nowhere have I found more inspiration than here on the Sunshine Coast. I love being in and around the water – lakes, streams, oceans – so my colourful landscapes often feature accessible bodies of water. Without formal training in the fine arts, for eight years I enjoyed the collegiality and stimulation of a painting workshop in Calgary, with two fine artists as mentors. After retiring from my career as an Executive Coach, I have focused on art. In 2022 I moved to Sechelt with my husband and worked with others to establish the Mission Point Painters collective.
Jeanne Robinson and Tammy Hartmann are joining Donna presenting a collection of coastal landscapes and lifestyle paintings. Our collection ranges from big, bold and vibrant to subtle and contemplative. Jeanne’s large, impressive landscapes gives one the feeling of being one with the landscape; while Tammy’s meticulous coastal lifestyle imagery contrasts beautifully with Donna’s rich and calming landscapes. Showing at the Sunshine Coast Golf Club during the 2026 Art Crawl
