Wendy Charters
As a founder of the Coast Cultural Alliance and having been born into a family of talented artists, Wendy has always had a great appreciation for the arts, for the gifts that they bring to the world and to the many ways they enrich our lovely community.
Under the guidance of a few local artists and friends, Wendy has begun to discover her own joy of dabbling with paint. Her paintings tend to reflect the sights and activities that evoke joy or wellbeing in her and hopefully in others.
“I live in awe of the diverse and ever-changing natural & cultural beauty of the Sunshine Coast and beyond, and I strive to paint what moves me. My paintings tend to be compilations of geography, imagination, and the therapeutic emotions evoked by both. It is this therapy that continues to draw me back to the canvas.”
In company with friend Jeanne Robinson and other talented artists, Wendy will share some of the efforts of her love for, and frustrations with ‘dabbling in paint’.
