Tammy’s serious interest in art began when she retired in 2016 and thus began her journey of becoming a professional artist, studying with Ed Hill of Gibsons, B.C. As an outdoor enthusiast, Tammy spends a lot of time paddling, hiking and biking the Sunshine Coast. Like her mentor, she is always ‘looking for a painting’. Her artist’s eye takes over when outdoors—‘is there a painting there?’ In her work, she strives to capture the essence of that moment in time when light and subject meet to create a perfect snapshot in time that can never be repeated. One thing that makes my work unique is that every piece has a story to go with it. The story gives the viewer an understanding of the motivation to paint the chosen image .
Donna Arvidson and Jeanne Robinson are joining Tammy presenting a collection of coastal landscapes and lifestyle paintings. Our collection ranges from big, bold and vibrant to subtle and contemplative. Jeanne’s large, impressive landscapes gives one the feeling of being one with the landscape; while Tammy’s meticulous coastal lifestyle imagery contrasts beautifully with Donna’s rich and calming landscapes. Showing at the Sunshine Coast Golf Club during the 2026 Art Crawl
