My current paintings on exhibit explore the theme of human emotions (fear, anger, despair and hope.
In 2018, I completed a Certificate in Advanced Painting from Emily Carr University. Today I work in acrylic using brushes, palette knives, sticks and other scraping tools. I am experimenting with the gestural aspect of action painting.
Some artists I have been inspired by are Wassily Kandinsky (1866-1944); Artemesia Gentileschie (1593-1654); Jenny Saville (1970-present); and Sarah Awad (1981-present).
My current work is an exploration of global disfunction, war and my reaction to it.

Iris’ bold and colourful abstracts perfectly complement Kathryn’s more impressionist wildlife and west coast imagery, while Wendy’s eclectic representational works embrace our BC lifestyle and spectacular vistas.
