Felt You Up focuses on sustainability and slow fashion. Every piece is one of a kind; eco-printed scarves/ wraps and felt hats.

Eco-printed scarves use all natural fabrics such as silk, linen, pashmina, merino wool and organic cotton. Fibres are slowly hand dyed using natural dyes and printed with leaves, flowers and foliage growing on the Sunshine Coast. Foliage is collected throughout the year and reflects the changing seasons on the Sunshine Coast.

Merino and silk felt hats are wet felted by hand or steamed and blocked on vintage wooden hat blocks. They are excellent in all weather conditions and guaranteed endless compliments!

Art Crawl Details

Akaleka Owleye is a self taught fibre artist with a passion for slow fashion, natural dyes, eco prints, felting and fibre.

All of her creations are one of a kind. Scarves and wraps are naturally dyed using sustainable plant dyes. The botanical prints are created from leaves, flowers and foliage collected from her garden in Wilson Creek or the surrounding coastal area.

The changing seasons inspire and reflect the changes in the garden which shines through in the garments. Growing food, flowers and collecting leaves is the perfect place to gather inspiration for the dye pot.
