During the pandemic, like many, I grew restless and found it difficult to think creatively. With not much to do, I hiked more, but it was different; I walked slower and looked more closely at trees, appreciating the details so much more. I took lots of photos of trees in our area in all seasons and conditions. I was also inspired to re-visit old photos of trees I’d taken. To enhance he richness of colours and textures, I printed on metallic photo paper. I will be exhibiting some of these images at the Gibsons Public Market during the Art Crawl.
