I am a multimedia artist engaged in creating art with a large variety of materials, mostly natural. Working with paper and fibres especially has been a lifetime love of mine. My work that will be shown at the Art Crawl this year is mostly small multimedia collage pieces, as well as casual but elegant jewelry. My art incorporates wonderful aspects of nature with a strong design focus. My purpose is for people to enjoy my art by displaying, sharing or wearing it.
When I create I engage deeply with the abundance of natural materials available to me. These include botanicals, gemstones, fibres and textiles, as well a myriad of papers, old and new. The small multimedia collage pieces and casual but elegant jewelry that emerge are representations of favoured elements of nature, which comingle with a subtle Scandinavian sensibility. As an artist I find that design is an uplifting language through which I can more deeply explore my relationship with nature.
