As the youngest in a family of European artisans I saw how creativity, talent & effort can feed a family… and a community. As an employment counsellor here in the ’90’s, again surrounded by artists, we applied this same premise to creating the Coast Cultural Alliance.
Creativity – whether in the natural evolution of our forests, rivers & mountains, or in our inter-personal human natures, joys and engagement – has always been a source of delight and curiosity for me.
Opening up to my own joy of dabbling in visual representation of this intriguing and delight-ful life came late & as something of a surprise. I currently enjoy painting in acrylics as they are both patient & forgiving.
Our venue features a collaboration of local artists, each sharing their own unique style, medium & subject matter – an eclectic display of Sunshine Coast creativity. Our paintings reflect a sharing of diverse skills, styles & energy.
Showing at the Sunshine Coast Golf and Country Club in Roberts Creek with 5 other painters, plus jeweler Pamela Roberts and ceramic artist Marilyn Downing.
