Deadline April 18th. Ideas that Connect Neighbours. The Neighbourhood Small Grants (NSG) program helps residents of any age, experience, or background take part in building community. We offer a small grant of up to $500 for you to bring your community project to life. With a Neighbourhood Small Grant, you join our network of thousands of project leaders who have taken steps to better their neighbourhoods—just like you.
Why are we doing this? Because magic happens when neighbours connect. It forms friendships, makes our communities safer and more vibrant. We have helped make communities in British Columbia stronger, safer, and more welcoming since 1999. Neighbourhood Small Grants (NSG) provides grants of up to $500 for projects that connect people socially or involve sharing skills or talents with each other.

Artwork Pickup + Reception: Saturday April 13, 2024 NOON – 2PM
We are delighted to support young artists in our community, and proud to continue the annual Young Artists Exhibition, which was initiated in 1988. Entries often include paintings, drawings, mixed-media, and 3-dimensional work. Over the years, we have seen participants in these exhibitions go on to higher education and careers in the arts. All artists receive a small gift encouraging their continued creativity, as well as feedback and encouragement from a panel of working artists on the Coast.
This year we are introducing a new theme to inspire our local youth: The Salish Sea.
What does the Salish Sea mean to you? How do we connect with the sea?

Join us during our Youth Shout Out Exhibition on Wednesday, March 20th 2pm – 3pm at GPAG to learn how to make your own artist trading cards (ATCs) with local ATC artist Nadina Tandy. The workshop is free and pre-registration is not required. Drop in, make, and trade, or bring your ready-made cards in on the day. This workshop/demo is open to all; kids under 12 require parents/supervision please.
Artist Trading Cards (ATC’s) are miniature pieces of art that are traded for free all around the world! There’s only one rule: the size of the card must be 2.5” x 3.5”. Otherwise, anything goes: you can draw, collage, paint on the cards… just make them, sign and date the back, and trade them with other artists.
