Join us for the Art Crawl at GPAG! For the first time ever, we are excited to be showing the work of 12 GPAG Member Artists throughout the Crawl. Featuring paintings in a variety of styles, photography, mixed media pieces, textiles, sculptures, and more, plus a gift shop featuring over 60 local artists, our busy location in the heart of Lower Gibsons is the place to be!
This year we are featuring the work of Corinne Barber, Tara Barker, Rose Clarke, Jane Covernton, Brian Cullen, Janice Edmonds, Emily Jew, Myron Jones, Sheri Peters, Charlene Stallard, Alan Sirulnikoff, and Jennie Tschoban. On Sat. Oct 25th, dive into the magical world of felting with artist Marianne Hansen during our Fall for Art Workshop Series.
Learn to create your very own Aminita Muscaria mushrooms on a Mossy Base using wet felting and needle felting techniques on a wire armature. Dive into the dynamic world of 3D fiber sculpture through this hands-on felting course.
Designed for beginners and intermediate students alike, this class explores the process of bringing sculptural forms to life using wool, wire, and felting techniques. Students will learn how to construct wire armatures, needle felt forms using core wool, and apply both wet and needle felting methods using fine fibres to refine their sculptures. Looking for something to do on the Oct. 24th Pro-D Day? Join us for drop in creation stations with a variety of activities for kids of all ages to enjoy. We’ll be offering collage, origami, weaving, drawing, and more. Come try out a new craft with all the supplies you need already provided; and with no mess in your own home!
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is not required and entrance is by donation.
Banner Making Workshop Sept 19 from 2 to 5pm
Celebrate the Equinox and honour the Salish Sea through your creativity!
Come make silk-screened banners for the SINKU Procession on September 20th. Learn the process of silk-screening with stencil artist Hazel Bell-Koski. Original stencils, cloth, paints, and bamboo poles will be provided.

Learn the art of weaving pictures using handcrafted Everlea looms and a gorgeous array of naturally dyed Everlea yarns. Join artist, weaver and proprietor of Everlea Looms, Janna Maria Vallee, in a small group setting at a private home in Roberts Creek.
Introduction to Tapestry Weaving is a chock-full workshop which introduces new weavers to the fundamentals of tapestry weaving: the art of weaving pictures. You will leave the workshop with a solid understanding of how to weave shapes, outline shapes, multiple methods for blending colours and finishing techniques, all while weaving your one-of-a-kind sunset!

Camp isn’t only for kids! Join this very special hands-on immersive “summer art camp” for adults with master instructor, Natalie Grambow, and delve into the magical world of indigo. Come learn about, and play with, this ancient plant dye that has enchanted people across the world for centuries with its beautiful blues. Participants will come away with an understanding of the science and artistry around indigo dyeing, as well as many samples on cloth of various techniques taught at camp.

Time to get your Present Tense submissions ready! Drop off is June 19 – 22, 11AM – 4PM. The exhibition is on display June 26 – July 20.
Present Tense is an annual exhibition featuring the creative work of GPAG members. We are also partnering with the CCA’s Purple Banner Studio Program to highlight artists with studios available for visiting during the exhibition. We accept one artwork from every artist in any medium and style, as long as it adheres to our max. size restriction of 16″ x 20″. Interested in showing more of your work at GPAG? Members are also invited to submit up to six Tiny Artworks to our Members’ Tiny Exhibition on display in Joe’s Lounge during Present Tense.
The deadline to submit your proposal is 4PM on March 31st, 2025. We are currently accepting proposals to exhibit at GPAG in 2026 in the Main Gallery and Eve Smart Gallery! We accept submissions from both emerging and established artists working in all mediums and styles.

Join us for this monthly drop-in session, exploring visible mending techniques with instructor Catherine Nicholls.
Mending can be so much more than just patching a hole! Mending Matters will introduce participants to the simple, practical skills required to repair textiles and how to turn those simple stitches into an art form that is both decorative and functional. Participants are encouraged to bring along a favourite clean piece of clothing or household textile they would like to mend.
