A Creative Pulse on Gambier Island
In the heart of Howe Sound, the Gambier Art Hive brings together local artists inspired by island life and life itself. Formed in 2024, the Hive includes painters, photographers, sculptors, & mixed-media artists whose work enriches Gambier’s cultural landscape, reflecting curiosity, place, & connection.

Artists include Haley Armitage, Bobby Bruce, Ali DeCaussin, Jamie Dickinson, Kim Elliott, MaryBeth Lafferty, Sam Loewen, Gillian Partridge, George Rammell, Rachel Amina, & Sascha Westendorp. Their pieces—ranging from quiet portraits to bold sculpture—offer a vibrant look at Gambier’s creative heartbeat. Each tells a story rooted in the natural beauty of Gambier Island.
