Art Exhibition: CAROLINA FRANZEN | Timely Cloud (Sculpture)

to May 26. Timely Cloud is an exhibition in Joe’s Lounge of assemblages made out of materials that linger between recycling and garbage. Carolina Franzen combines objects of lost purpose by searching for a hidden cultural life in order to find new metaphors for it. Franzen achieves this through aesthetic play with various objects and through interpreting the historical, industrial, and ecological contexts. Working with femininity and humour Franzen’s sculptures are for all to enjoy, created with the aim of delighting the mind and spirit. Carolina Franzen, who also goes by the artist name aC Hömmken, is a conceptual and visual artist based on the Sunshine Coast.
