Art Exhibition: Joe’s Lounge – ALLIE BARTLETT | Photographs and Footprints

to Mar 28. Based on the saying “take only photographs, leave only footprints”, this exhibition in Joe’s Lounge aims to capture a sense of nostalgia and seeks to preserve fleeting moments. The sky, sea, and the land are in a constant state of change, and it is almost impossible to pin down a moment. The artist attempts to capture the specifics of a certain day; how the light looks, how each location is unique, and how different elements of the environment combine. Using a combination of analog photographic methods and collage, the combination of technique and motif, instant photography and memory, is grounded in the landscape of the Sunshine Coast.
