Gibsons Yacht Club – Club Boat Open House

Come down to Gibsons Marina and check out our three club sailing boats that you can use if you become a member of the GYC Club Boat program. This unique membership allows you to book and use the boats for less than $1,000 per year. No moorage costs, no insurance costs and no maintenance fees. Our Open House will allow you to tour the boats and talk to GYC members to learn more about the program, available sailing instruction, and the many social events that enhance the fun and friendship that the club provides.

IGNITE Spring Break Girls’ Soccer Program

IGNITE is a pilot girls Spring Break soccer program hosted by the Sunshine Coast Youth Soccer Association. IGNITE will be led by SCYSA coaches Holly Neate and Devon O’Reilly, experienced members of the local soccer community who are passionate about expanding opportunities for girls in sport. The program is structured to provide a supportive environment where participants can build skills, confidence, and connection to the game.

Gibsons Yacht Club Open House

The club provides opportunities to learn to sail, ongoing maritime skills courses, spring and fall cruises, and an exceptional Club Boat program, which offers members the chance to explore our local waters without the cost of owning a boat! Fibre Farm: Ground Breaking Ceremony

Ground Breaking Ceremony led by Cease Wyss will honour the beginning of the Fibre Farm project.The Fibre Farm is an indigenous led and disability justice centered project located on Squamish territory. This project is motivated by closer relationship to the land. Building an accessible gathering space for community to participate in remediating a wetland ecosystem, dynamic workshops and teachings, processing natural plant material, the Fibre Farm will be a space to create community around culture and fibre artistry. You are invited to witness and participate in this ceremony which will involve inoculating the wetland and pond with native rhysomes and seeds.
