Join us this year as we kick off the festivities at Roberts Creek School, gathering for the lively Higgledy Piggledy Parade leading down to the Pier! Get creative with your costumes straight from the tickle trunk! Meet at 10:45am, parade at 11:11am!
Explore a diverse array of vendors offering information, crafts, delicious food, and engaging activities for everyone to enjoy. Kids will love the KidZone featuring face painting, games, and playful activities.
Don’t miss the vibrant music performances at the mandala stage from 11:30am-6pm (see the discussion board for lineup) and the Slow Sundays Stage at Library Park from noon-3:30pm. Performance by the Story Theatre at the Gazebo, Be sure to browse through the renowned Library Book Sale from noon-3pm—it’s a can’t-miss event!

Summer IGNITE Girls’ Soccer Program
What is IGNITE?
IGNITE is a week-long camp that incorporates a blend of soccer and mindset exploration in a fun and active environment. We use soccer as the vehicle for supporting the development and growth of players’ confidence, resilience, social skills, and understanding of themselves.
Who is leading IGNITE?
IGNITE will be led by SCYSA staff coaches Holly Neate and Devon O’Reilly, alongside experienced guest facilitators and youth mentors. The program is structured to provide a supportive environment where participants can build skills and connection to the game, as well as to each other.
Who is IGNITE for?
IGNITE is a program for girls and non-binary youth of all soccer levels. This includes players who are:
-Have never played soccer before
-New to soccer or have limited experience
-Currently playing in foundation/recreational soccer programs
-Currently playing in pre-competitive or competitive soccer programs
What will players do?
Each day includes a mix of:
-Soccer-based games and skill activities
-Team challenges and creative exercises
-Confidence- and mindset-building activities
-Structured and free-play scrimmages
-Guest workshops

July 22 – 25. The purpose of Camp to immerse youth aged 10 to 15 in the basics of aviation and aerospace sciences using unique training aids specifically designed and built by experienced volunteers – aircraft maintenance engineers, software developers, pilots and scientists, among others.

Heritage Playhouse: Puss N Boots
With a large and entertaining cast of characters, Puss ‘n Boots: A Tale of a Tail follows the story of a simple Miller’s son, an adventurous princess and a very mysterious and clever cat… as they put their bravery (and swimming skills) to the test, in order to save the ones they love!
A production by a Driftwood Theatre School class, directed by Gabriel Leonard Ditmars. Genres: Adventure, Comedy, Romance, Fantasy. Written by Steph DeFerie; inspired by the classic fairy tale written by Charles Perrault & Giovanni Francesco Straparola
Roberts Creek Elementary Writers’ Showcase
Join us for an hour of stories celebrating the Roberts Creek Elementary writer-in-residency program with bestselling children’s author Tanya Lloyd Kyi. The event will showcase writing by students in grades 5, 6 and 7 and will be hosted by Kyi. All are welcome, and refreshments will be served. No registration required.
The event is sponsored by Celebration of Authors, Books and Community (CABC), an initiative of School District 46 and the Sunshine Coast Festival of the Written Arts, and funded by a responsive community grant from the Sunshine Coast Foundation.

Gibsons Public Market: Easter Egg Hunt
On Sunday, April 5th hop on over for a fun-filled Easter Egg Hunt at Gibsons Public Market! This non-competitive event is perfect for toddlers and little ones to enjoy a morning of festive fun. All you have to do is find 5 eggs hidden around the market and trade them in for a goody bag!
One lucky goody bag contains a FREE aquarium day pass!
Morning activities include:
A delightful egg hunt
Easter-themed colouring
Fun games for kids
No registration or tickets required- just come and bring your baskets and your best Easter spirit!
Gibsons Public Art Gallery: The Art of Chocolate Youth Workshop
A fun & free workshop for youth led by Sunshine Coast chocolatier and artist John Down.
In this workshop you’ll create your own original artworks (paint it, collage it, glitter it!) to wrap and label a gourmet chocolate bar provided by Christopher Norman Chocolates. Everyone will be invited to take their custom bar home to enjoy, while extras will be available for sale in the Gift Shop as a fundraiser for the Gallery.
Admission is free but space is limited so you must RSVP via EventBrite. Open to youth aged 2 – 18. Youth under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. All supplies provided. Special thanks to John Down and Christopher Norman Chocolates for sponsoring SHOUT OUT and offering this wonderful opportunity to be a chocolate artist!

Sunshine Coast youth aged two to eighteen are invited to submit their artwork of any size or medium for display at the Gallery during our annual youth exhibition Shout Out, on display March 12th – 29th, 2026. In addition to offering an inspiring body of work that represents the creativity of our community’s youth, this exhibition is also an opportunity for young people to experience what it is like to be a professional exhibiting artist at GPAG. Gibsons Public Art Gallery: Artist Talk & Reading with Andrea Fritz
Come learn about Coast Salish art, culture and storytelling on Saturday Dec. 20th, 2pm – 4pm. Andrea Fritz will read from her newest book Woolly Dog Warms His Family and talk about its relation to her serigraph Sqwiqwi, on display now in her Eve Smart exhibition Lyackson Place Names. This event is free and open to all!
Lyackson Place Names features hand produced silk screen prints in the traditional style of the Coast Salish People, exploring place names and different aspects of storytelling and culture. Each print in Andrea Fritz’s exhibition focuses on a place within Lyackson territory on the Salish Sea or on an aspect of Coast Salish storytelling, and is accompanied by the story relating to the piece. Lyackson Place Names will be closing on Saturday, December 20th at 4pm.
