Jocelyn Pettit & Ellen Gira – Concert & Workshop

A fun evening of traditional & original music! This will be a special intimate house concert hosted by Bobbie Mauel. There will also be a 1pm afternoon Fiddle & Cello Workshop.

Saturday Live Music: John Pa Rainey

Pa Rainey was recorded singing Hank Williams tunes at 3 years old , but they didn’t want go on the Louisiana Hayride radio hour so he ran away with his guitar and kazoo. Fortunately Elizabeth Cotton was driving by with Will Shade, Leon Redbone and Memphis Minnie in Pete Seager’s car. They saw pa hitchhiking and gave him a ride.
They all had a great time drinking coffee and playing show tunes, been gigg’in ever since .
