Fortunately Elizabeth Cotton was driving by with Will Shade, Leon Redbone and Memphis Minnie in Pete Seager’s car. They saw pa hitchhiking and gave him a ride.
They all had a great time drinking coffee and playing show tunes, been gigg’in ever since .
