SC Botanical Garden: Weekly Plant Sale

Tuesdays 1-3pm to end of June. Missed getting to our annual Plant Sale? Our weekly mini sales continue down in the Potting Shed.
We’ve got a great selection available, and our knowledgeable volunteers will be on hand to help you find the best plants for your garden. We’ll have bags of our fertilizer for sale too! Cash or credit card only.

Trivia Night – 10th anniversary

Get ready to flex your brain muscles and have a blast with some tricky questions and fun vibes all in support of Les Petits du Pacifique! Celebrate our 10th Anniversary Trivia Night with an evening of laughs, friendly competition, and great prizes.

What to expect

A classic trivia night with live host, Scotty from Coastal Hosts & Events. Themed rounds, music, and a few fun surprises for our anniversary year. Bring your best team name and your smartest friends.

Elphinstone Secondary Track: the Big Little Run

Apr 25 – 26. Whether you’re a runner or not, join us. There’ll be food, fun activities, and swag! And if you want to lace up your running shoes, you’ve got a whole 24 hours to get a few laps in.

Sign up or pledge to support a runner (or just make a donation) at Zeffy. (Thanks to SD46, our charity partner, we’ll be able to issue tax receipts after the event.) All funds go towards supporting the Sunshine Coast’s longest-running non-profit daycare!

Seaside Centre: Coast Hospice Day

We welcome you to join us for the “Coast Hospice Day” community event at the Seaside Centre on Sunday, May 31, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Stop in to learn about Hospice’s community work. There will be BBQ burgers from the Lions Club, baked goods, raffle tickets, door prizes and great conversations. We will also have a space dedicated to viewing and discussing our “Living With Dying” documentary. Come and see how we use funds from our community, including those raised during Hike for Hospice.

Meet us at 10 a.m. to prepare and then participate in a group “Walk for Hospice” through town.

Our evening will feature live music by Rebecca Lorna & Jeremy Forester, a brief program honouring our volunteer crew and a Silent + Live Auction to help keep this little local marine rescue team trained, equipped, and ready to save lives on the water!

PH Golf Club: 40th Anniversary Fundraiser Tournament

In 1986, the Pender Harbour Golf Club opened. It was community funded, and built by volunteers. To this day, the club continues to operate as a non-profit organization, lead by a volunteer Board of Directors, and relies heavily on volunteer efforts and community support.
Registration fee includes your golf (with cart), awesome prizes, and dinner at Ace’s Clubhouse Bar & Grill (burger and a bevie!).

Gibsons Public Market: Sip, Savour & Dance – Gibsons Rotary Spring Fling Fundraiser

An event to raise funds for the community contributions from the Gibsons Rotary Club. As a “Spring Fling” it is going to be fun with wine tasting, food snacking, dancing and a small silent auction focused on baskets, art and experiences. Dance to DJ Karl’s funky tunes from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond while sampling red, white, and sparkling wines from various wineries.

Heritage Playhouse: James Vickers Band Returns!

Sixteen-year-old blues prodigy and his band will be back in Gibsons to rock the roof off at the Heritage Playhouse. Inspired by rock and blues heroes Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and Pink Floyd, classic blues and rock faves with a Gen Z edge and many of their own signature songs. The Nanaimo band has already earned international acclaim at the Memphis Blues Festival and are on track to go places in 2026.
