I’m Lisa Murata and I’ve lived and farmed on the Sunshine Coast for almost 35 years. I have a small farm in Roberts Creek and produce rare heritage chickens and friendly Valais Blacknose x sheep.
I am inspired by the beauty of the fibre (wool), feathers, eggs and nature around me and love to transform them into useful and whimsical creations.
I love creating ‘vegan’ sheepskin made with the fleece sheared from my sheep and felting the back so it looks just like a sheepskin. I turn scrap cedar planks into ‘using’ stools and craft blown eggs and feathers into flying birds.
