Cornelia P M van Berkel established The Blue Shoe Studio in 1979 in BC. Nature/wildlife inspired acrylic paintings on canvas and driftwood. giclee prints, cards and magnets. Sea star hand painted ceramics, ornaments and cats.

Cornelia attended art school in the Netherlands and exhibited her sculptures and paintings before coming to Canada in 1979. She is one of a select few Delfts Blue Painters traned in Holland. This is a very old traditional style of adorning ceramic items which she also did for many years in Canada.

Amongst many of her popular designs was raised sea stars on ceramic items. After 34 years of a successful ceramics business she has retired to concentrate on painting driftwood, canvases and wood. Large selection of her art cards and photography cards are available.
