All are welcome to come and learn about the syiyaya Reconciliation Movement’s Carving Reconciliation Project and carve a notch into the Reconciliation Pole with shíshálh Master Carver ?antuni Tony Paul. Tony is a Residential School Survivor who has practiced his art form from the young age of 16 years. He has developed a beautiful design for the 30 ft Pole to ground us in truth as we begin the healing journey towards reconciliation at the site of the former Residential School. Come hear the story of the pole, and add your notch to this incredible cedar carving.
