Originally from Moldova, I came to Canada as a refugee. After years of supporting myself I was able to attend an Art School. For the first part of my career I worked in the tree-dimensional realm, carving stone and wood. However, relocation to the Coast sparked a profound artistic transformation. Shifting to two-dimensional mixed media, I began working with unconventional materials such as eggshells, painted wood and arbutus bark, a native coastal tree that I now feature extensively in my work.
