Shirley Burton loves working with wood. She loves the textures, the scent, the grain, and the challenges presented in creating exquisite pieces of hand carved jewellery, spoons and other items for the kitchen. Local woods, such as arbutus, yew, maple, walnut and alder as well as exotic woods are used in her designs.
