Ron Smid is an internationally award winning photographer known as ” The Ansel Adams of the Canadian Landscape”. He is a photographic purist, working exclusively with film and the analog darkroom process to produce large scale works in both colour and black and white. What was once a rustic barn has been transformed into The Stillwater Gallery; Canada’s finest traditional photographic landscape gallery located 20 minutes south of Powell River. Tours of the exhibtion and darkroom studio are offered year round by appointment.
