Ron Smid has travelled 250,000 km across Canada in search of quintessential imagery that captures the spiritual essence of the landscape. He is a photographic purist, working exclusively with the analog film process. Using medium and large format cameras, Smid creates large scale works in both colour and black & white. The Canada – The Light on Our Land series is printed on the now discontinued Cibachrome colour material by master printer Michael Wilder. Smid’s work can be found in both corporate and private art collections around the world.
