The vision of the qathet Film Society is film as a cultural and economic driver in the community. The restoration and preservation of the Patricia Theatre is central to our mandate.

The Society produces the annual qathet Film Festival, Powell River’s preeminent winter festival. We are committed to restoring the historic Patricia Theatre – its original murals, décor, stained glass and metal canopy and flag pole – elements that define the theatre’s unique position amongst heritage buildings.

The Patricia Theatre runs films nightly at 7pm, and updates its program weekly..
