Pottery Club at Pat Forst Pottery Studio - Joanne Schick

Open Now

I am a potter. I first started throwing pots in 1973 while living in Elk Island National Park near Edmonton. I potted for another 15 years while living in the Yukon. When my family moved to Mudge Island just south of Gabriola, I took a break from pottery, working in my garden and playing with my small grandchildren. I moved to Gibsons in 2021, heard about the Pottery Club at the Pat Forst Pottery Studio, and immediately joined. I am so excited to get back into making pots, rediscovering my skill, focussing on texture and form, and making tiles using thrown and hand built forms.
