I am a life-long artist working in oil paints and watercolours. Since 1990 I have lived on the Sunshine Coast where I have been a active member of the Arts community, including a solo show at the Sechelt Arts Center as well as participating in numerous group exhibitions and attending weekly Life Drawing sessions. My images are drawn from Nature, history, and extensive travels over the course of many years. In most of my paintings there are both realistic and abstract elements present. Regardless of the subject or painting medium, I strive in every work to maintain spontaneity and freshness.

Art Crawl Details

I was born in Germany, came to Canada at the age of six, and grew up in rural Ontario. As a young man, living and travelling in Europe I became interested in Art history and began painting with oils and watercolours. In the last dozen or so years I have been working almost exclusively in watercolours. My recent work will be on display in this year’s Art Crawl, along with Marilyn’s Kumihimo Jewelry. Please visit us at Site 148 in Sechelt.
