Plein air digital paintings in loose layers of colors and textures, studio works in oils and watercolours. Dynamic colourful impressionist oil paintings in semi-abstract style, lots of bold palette knife and large scale brushwork. Current works are brushy florals, unapologetically colourful and decorative, hinting at my textile arts/fashion background. Expressive West Coast landscapes capture turbulent skies, charming homes, crusty fishing boats and harbours.
Figurative works include local dancers from Nutcracker and contemporary dance.
My creative colourful home is an artwork in itself. Coming to the west coast from Montreal via the Caribbean and UK, we’ve called Gibsons home since 1989.
