I’m inspired by the People, the West Coast, Cities, Travels and texture and add use my own creative imagination to create. I am a self-taught painter, and Creative Visionary Program Alumni. Loved to draw portraits as a teen to escape the world around me and later explored paint when time permitted. Trying to find myself in interior design followed by a decade in the travel industry and over 20 years as a business owner of a lifestyle gift store in Steveston Village, I now create for myself and focus on what I always wanted to do since I was a teen.
I embrace the challenge of transforming blank space into a visual story, play with colours, textures and my imagination.
This year I am pushing the mixed media by painting my papers, using handmade paper and fabric to explore.
Each year I focus on new series so you will always see something new. I started with boats but that took me into a new world this year. For 2025 my focus is on 48″x 60″ figurative mixed media. See you at the art crawl.
