Making art for me is an essential part of who I am and how I interact in the world. Whether through painting, drawing, writing or even music, creativity helped to define who I was and still am today.
The process of making art is as personal as it is mysterious. The action of surrender from anticipated outcomes will help facilitate the opportunity to discover newfound realities in my work. There is an intention without the burden of expectation. What to keep and what to let go of is an artist’s biggest challenge.
The unknown and unexpected beauty of all this is why I paint.
