I’m a textile artist in Gibsons B.C.
I began by making quilts but quickly shifted to pictorial collage and experimenting with free-form embroidery, embellishing clothing, and more.
Most of my current work centers on interpreting my own nature-based photos in fabric. I use a lot of batik fabrics and up-cycle used textiles where possible. I enjoy creating without a plan beyond a photo and the expected dimensions of the completed work. Recently I have begun experimenting in a small way with dying and distressing fabrics and making scarves from yarn remainders.
