Jennifer creates abstract paintings using collaged hand-painted and printed fabrics or papers. While she uses a myriad of different techniques and tools to create them, in recent years she has become enthralled with the possibilities inherent in monoprinting with a gel plate. She loves the layering opportunities that this tool provides, often creating surprising depth, colour and patterning. Working intuitively, Jennifer embraces the unanticipated results of a printing session as well as the happenstance juxtaposition of collage elements.
