James Simon Studio

I depict coastal and industrial landscapes using acrylic paint and through reduction wood-block printing. Playing with form and colour, I engage with mediums to reflect my surroundings. At Emily Carr, I studied sculpture, followed by a decade as an apprentice carver for Musqueam artist, Susan Point. I have been a maker throughout my career, from designing and building props in Vancouver film studios, to art house production in New York City.
