I am proud to follow the creative path of my family members who were accomplished artisans of everyday practical items that were made to last.
My work consists mostly of beautiful and colourful items worked up using traditional Tunisian crochet and made with natural yarn dyed in Canada. The shawls, once wrapped around one’s shoulder, deliver immediate comfort and timeless style. I also enjoy time in my small studio where I hand shape and hammer copper wire into pins. Whatever I make, each piece is unique and infused with good intentions and inspiration from Gambier’s natural beauty.

Art Crawl Details

For three magical days, I am immersing myself in the imaginative world of artist Jennifer Drysdale. Her studio is the perfect setting for inspiration and to display my colourful Tunisian crochet shawls made of natural fibres–merino, silk and linen. I’ll demonstrate hand-shaping and hammering of copper wire to make shawl pins. The shawls and pins are practical items made to last, while adding beauty to everyday life.
Showing with Jen Drysdale and Gord Dieroff at 1070 Stewart Rd. SE corner of Stewart Rd & North Rd
