Dan Horner - Woodland Woodworker

I currently am making boxes and clocks although I have made furniture, toys, toy boxes and other miscellaneous larger pieces. Materials consist of woods found on the Sunshine Coast as well as some other North American hardwoods. I utilize a hybrid woodworking style which combines both power and hand tools.
I like to combine two or more wood species in one piece giving contrast and interest. Frequently cloth, cork or other found materials are incorporated.
My architectural training influences my more contemporary pieces, although I also have a great appreciation for traditional designs.
