I am primarily a portrait Artist working in Oils.
My goal in creating portraits is not just to create a likeness but to connect the viewer to the energy and uniqueness of each sitter.
Ideally, I love to make the interaction between the sitter and the viewer immediate and complex. I strive, through increasingly innovative use of colour, brush strokes and light, to draw the viewer into the painting process itself.
