I am primarily a portrait Artist working in Oils.
My goal in creating portraits is not just to create a likeness but to connect the viewer to the energy and uniqueness of each sitter.
Ideally, I love to make the interaction between the sitter and the viewer immediate and complex. I strive, through increasingly innovative use of colour, brush strokes and light, to draw the viewer into the painting process itself.
I am relatively new to the Sunshine Coast (2017). I love living in Gibsons and getting to know this beautiful area better. I am excited to be featured in the Art Crawl 2022, because it is a marvellous and enjoyable event that showcases the many talented artists in this region. Even better, it allows the opportunity to interact with members of the public and other artists when they visit my studio.
