Charmaine Bayntun

I am a retired educator who put aside my art in order to raise a family & pursue a career. Upon retiring, I decided to renew my love of painting. I paint in both watercolours & acrylics and take my inspiration from the natural environment around me on the coast. I use both wide & closeup views to convey the essence of what captures me visually. What was it that made me stop and look more closely? When you look at one of my paintings, I hope that you will see it through my eyes & that it will take you to somewhere special. Check my FB and Instagram pages to see lots of photos and videos.
Let me welcome you to my new studio/gallery space! After a brief move away from the coast we are back and loving it more than ever. I have plenty of room to explore watercolours, acrylics and oils, and other media combinations. Botanicals and animals, both wild and tame, are a new focus while sea, sky and landscapes remain a passion with many new works to display. Works range in size from minis to large showcase pieces. Commissions considered. Listen to some fine piano as you peruse the paintings.
