“It’s all in the details” is the motto of Joan Barrington, owner of Barrington Brolly. Joan produces hand-made umbrellas and hand-held personal sun parasols, using the finest components from Europe, United States and Canada. Her bespoke products are being used in living history museums, across the United States, and Canada. They have also appeared in live theatre (dramas and musicals) across North America, from Broadway (NYC), to Los Angeles; Ontario to Alberta. Some of her most memorable commissions are: the 2011 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show; “Turn of the Century, with Jeff Daniels and Rachel York; “Hello, Dolly!”, with Bette Midler and David Hyde-Pierce; Beetlejuice; and numerous television and film productions, yet to be aired.
