Aysha Costello
Aysha Costello works with acrylic, oils and cold wax to create abstract artworks on a variety of different surfaces.
With a design background, she loves to explore the effects of pattern and texture, while working to push the boundaries of colour and light in each artwork.
She uses a combination of new and up-cycled materials in her process. She also works in watercolours and digital illustration.
Aysha Costello inspiration comes from colour itself, she likes to celebrate subtle and rich colour palettes in her paintings. The abstract form is only there to highlight the beauty of each colour. She works towards a practice of simple living in her life and hopes to emulate that in her artworks. Making each piece with the intention that it warms a home.
During the Art Crawl, showing with Krista Wollen who paints in acrylic on canvas or board, and incorporates mixed media. She has recently started punch needle and explores abstraction & representation in her work.
