A mixed-media abstract painter exploring the balance between intention & intuition. She builds layered surfaces with gesso, acrylic, oil stick, & graphite, creating textured compositions through planning, revision & spontaneous mark-making.
Her career as a scenic artist & set designer in film & television shapes her studio practice, informing her understanding of composition, atmosphere & emotional response. Drawing on the contrast between structured urban spaces & rhythms of nature, she allows each painting to evolve through process & discovery.
Angela’s work has been exhibited in galleries & public spaces across BC, including her debut exhibition, Between the Lines. Her practice merges contemporary abstraction with the visual sensibilities of film, creating rich, considered paintings.
