SCAC: Leonard Brett: Printmaking Demonstrations + Talk

Born in 1944 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Brett graduated with honours from the Vancouver School of Art (now Emily Carr University of Art + Design) after studying there from 1962 to 1966. He pursued additional training through painting studies in Paris from 1980 to 1981, a post-graduate lithography program at Emily Carr from 1983 to 1984, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking at Concordia University from 1988 to 1990. Brett has sustained a long career supported by multiple Canada Council grants (including in 1968, 1969, and 1984), the 1967 Young Painters Exhibition Award, and other recognitions such as the 1985 Charles H. Scott Gallery Purchase Award. His works reside in institutional collections including the Vancouver Art Gallery, the City of Vancouver, the British Columbia
