Hand Reef & Sew: Leather & Stitching Workshop 01

Basic Level Workshop 01 takes place at Hand Reef and Sew studio shop in beautiful lower Gibsons. The class is small, only four participants which means we can work closely with each participant. It is our goal to not only teach a practical and tactile skill: the Saddle Stitch, but to also give everyone a solid foundation to build from and a lovely little card wallet to take home with their HRS Stitching Kit.

What to Expect:
Learn about the hide, general tanning practices, types of leather, basic tools and how to do the saddle stitch. Make your own card wallet to take home!

Include in the basic level HRS Stitching Kit:
2 x Harness needles, waxed linen thread, leather card wallet cut and pricked. Foundational seminar, step by step instructions for the saddle stitch with images in handy booklet.
