$5456 weeks – Feb 17 & 24, March 3, 10, 24, & 31 (2.5 hrs/session). Explore the relationship between art, ecology, and place in this reflective, hands-on studio class for adults. Each session we’ll work with natural materials, clay, and found objects while learning about the interconnected ecosystems of our region—from watershed dynamics to keystone species like salmon, kelp, and herring. Through guided making, discussion, and short readings, we’ll consider how creative practice can cultivate deeper attention, reciprocity, and care for the living world.
Materials Provided: 25 lbs of cone 6 clay and a bucket. Studio equipment & tools, glazes, and firings also included.
