Art Exhibition – GPAG: Allan Forest; Elemental World of the Unseen (photography)

A photographic exhibition in the Main Gallery by Madeira Park artist Allan Forest exploring the unique rainforest of the Sunshine Coast and expressing the energy and movement that the artist feels upon entering this remarkable landscape. For Forest, this exhibition is the culmination of over 50 years as a photographer since beginning his career as a commercial photographer in Toronto. Forest uses a technique called internal camera movement or ICM. The general rule is there is motion in the photograph that is generated within the camera using one unique exposure, without filters or special effects. It has become a fascinating new paradigm for photographers seeking a fresh vision.
