I was born in Ottawa, Canada in 1957. My interest in visual storytelling began after I bought a decent 35mm SLR camera in the mid-1970s. About a decade later, I moved to Mexico City and found myself immersed in the rich culture of my new neighborhood, Coyoacán. There, I became a quasi-student of photographer Manuel Álvarez Bravo. Immersed in the Mexican art scene, which was still influenced by the Mexicanismo movement, I casually honed my craft. Decades later, with an ever-growing and changing portfolio, I’m grateful that I can now share some of my favorite images with a broader audience.
