Expressive figurative artist predominately working with oil paint, charcoal, graphite & water colourings and wax. Substrates vary. I am trying to capturing the indefinable in my subject matter. As I relax my need to control an image and search instead for essence, sometimes happens. Creatures,
human & otherwise, are my subjects of choice. It is spirit that interests me, personality, quirkiness, joy, wisdom & vulnerability.
