SUMMARY:Your resilient neighbourhood begins at home: a practical intro
DESCRIPTION:This 2 hour workshop is sponsored and hosted by St Hilda’s (Anglican Church in Sechelt) Green Parish Action Team and is presented by Nicole Hartley Bradford\, a global Regenerative Culture Experimenter and Trainer. \nThe workshop will occur during the Season of Creation\, a time of year when many Christian groups bring focus to appreciating and better stewarding this beautiful Earth. \nThe goals of the workshop are for you to leave feeling enthusiastic about having come\, having met people who listened\, heard\, felt and shared precious information and possibility for real-world action that will be fun and easy to take\, and with a sense of having more resources and agency than before for your path into the future. \nFor this goal to be reached: \nNo religious dogma will be delivered\, and no adherence to Christianity is required to join. \nWe will do practical exercises designed to empower possible steps you can each take to reduce anxiety about the current times by building:\n– agency\,\n– connection\,\n– trust\,\n– personal food and water pantries\,\n– personal and/or community food gardens and water caches\, and\n– access to ever more possibility as time rolls on. \nThe Workshop Outline: \nCircle Convergence\nWelcome\, What to Expect and Group Agreements. \nIn small groups and with the whole group\, work with these questions:\nWho are you and what brought you here today?\nWhat do you worry will happen if food prices keep rising or food accessibility becomes more limited?\nWhat action have you taken so far to mitigate your worries?\nGiven what you have shared and heard here so far\, what do you want to create to have more resilience\, less stress and more resources? \nHear from Nicole about what she has done so far personally in her own game of “Becoming more prepared and resilient during uncertain times.” \nBecome an Experimenter.\nDiscover and design your next experiment\, and next steps. \nFinal feelings\, thoughts and appreciation.\nCircle Divergence \nOptional:\nParticipant Feedback\nJoin a local Telegram group of Conscious Experimenters \nDonations for the St Hilda’s Green Parish Action Team’s ongoing projects will be gladly received.\nSuggested Donation: $2 – 20. \nSo begins a choose-your-own-adventure game that you can play according to what is most important and relevant to you\, during and beyond the workshop.
