Presenting ‘The Coast String Fiddlers\,’ a local group of young musicians; singer/songwriter\, Rae Armour\, aka ‘The Hootin’Nanny!’; spoken word by Steve Schwable and closing the night\, we are excited to present ‘Coctel de Pasion’\, a Latin trio with Martin Nemcovsky\, a veteran jazz musician and music instructor from Argentina\, Mariel Yuglesias\, singer/songwriter from Costa Rica and Jeremy Forst\, a multi-instrumentalist. \nTickets $20 via Eventbrite or in-person during public hours at the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre (beginning Jan 7th\, Wed-Sun 12pm-4pm) at the door if not sold out. DESCRIPTION:The Friends of the Gallery (FOG) is our annual celebration of the creativity of our membership. This wonderful exhibition launches our new year\, and features the work of members of the Sunshine Coast Arts Council. \nThe exhibition is a long-standing community event that has spanned more than 30 years. Its’ aim is to involve the broadest range of local artists\, to acknowledge the role of the arts in our community\, and to celebrate the extraordinary diversity in materials\, forms and approach. Artists are invited to submit one piece of art they have completed in the previous year to be shown in this group exhibition. Open to anyone 14+; we offer free youth memberships (14-18).
